Our Mission

To engage, support and strengthen vulnerable young people and their families, who have been or are currently affected by mental health and associated issues such as social disconnection, poverty, drug and alcohol addiction; in order to improve their health, well-being and participation in the community for an enhanced quality of life.

The DENNY Foundation is committed to social responsibility and exists to develop and auspice effective, holistic solutions which aid the mentally vulnerable in our community; and to support and advocate for individuals and families affected by mental health issues; with a specific focus on youth and early detection and intervention, to prevent depression, self-harm, and suicide.

The overall aim of the DENNY Foundation is to develop and implement relevant and practical programs that enhance well-being and resilience in children and young people affected by mental health, and their families, and the community; as well as increasing knowledge and understanding of the issues pertaining to mental health conditions.

In its project development, The DENNY Foundation relies on evidence-based research and best practice data, to approach the complexity of the issues involved in supporting those affected by mental health conditions, in a balanced and scholarly manner.

In all of its activities, The DENNY Foundation anchors its work to a constructive, strength-based philosophy. TDF recognises that positive primary relationships, and connection to wider social and community networks, is a key mechanism paramount to the well-being of children and young people, as well as for adults.
